during their Division One South goal feast with Stamford.
Grove won 4-3 to remain second in the league, but feared the midfielder had broken his ankle at the end of the first half.
Manager Peter Ward said: "Tim went in for a tackle on the halfway line and was left on the ground.
"I think one of their lads trod on him, but instead of stopping the game the referee allowed play to go on and they scored to make it 2-2.
"Tim was as pale as a sheet and would not let anyone touch his ankle, but when he went to hospital the X-rays revealed there was no break, which we were glad to hear because he is an influential player."
Sanders will benefit from a week's rest, while Ward has called off tomorrow night's training session to also give the rest of the squad a break before they take on league leaders Barwell at home next Saturday.
Ward added said: "A number of players are carrying knocks and we looked tired against Stamford.
"We were the better side, but the game could have gone either way in the last 20.
"They wanted our scalp and put five across midfield to stifle us, but we picked up the three points and that was the most important thing."
Kidsgrove took a two-goal lead through Dave Walker's 31st-minute penalty and a Tom Schwarz effort four minutes later, but Stamford pulled one back just before the break and levelled on the stroke of half- time with an own goal by Alex Morris.
Walker slotted home another penalty on 51 minutes and completed his hat-trick shortly afterwards only for Stamford to add their third on 69.
