Staffordshire Senior Cup: First-Round Exit

The Grove’s Staffordshire Senior Cup campaign came to an end following a goalless draw away at Eccleshall. Kidsgrove struck the crossbar twice and enjoyed the better share of possession but couldn’t find the breakthrough.

The tie went to penalties, where Eccleshall edged it 5–4. Cooper, Djalo, Morley and Bromfield converted for the Grove, but Ford’s missed spot-kick proved decisive.

A Muddy Affair at 1874 Northwich!

Kidsgrove travelled to 1874 Northwich on Saturday, with Will Hardeman putting the Grove 1–0 up in the 18th minute.

Unfortunately, the game was abandoned at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch. Apparently, a bit of mud was all a little too much to handle!

Football in October… you’ve got to love it.
