It was an evening to forget for Glossop North End as they lost 5-1 away at Worksop Town.
They had taken the lead on four minutes through Alfons Fosu-Mensah. However, Craig Perry's men responded with two goals from Gavin Allot and one from Jack Broadhead to give them a 3-1 lead at the break.

Worksop added to their lead in the second half thanks to strikes from Luke Hinsley and Cody Cormack to make it a miserable night for Peter Band's men.

Kidsgrove faced Glossop in mid September last season in what was the Grove's first 0-0 draw of the season and, with the season terminated early and then null and voided the Grove never managed to visit Glossop.

The previous season we drew 1-1 with Glossop at the Autonet Insurance Stadium, Anthony Malbon scoring one of his 150 goals for the club. While in the away fixture just before the season ended the Grove came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 thanks to goals from Oliver Jepson and Lee Williamson.

One to watch: Alfons Fosu-Mensah
The brother of Manchester United player Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Alfons Fosu-Mensah joined Glossop in the summer having played for Southport, Ashton United and Colwyn Bay amongst others in the past

Fosu-Mensah made his debut for the Hillmen against City of Liverpool in the Emirates FA Cup before he got his first goal for the club against Cleethorpes Town in a 2-1 win at the end of the month.

His other goal came against Worksop Town in midweek.
