Our trip to Prescot saw Kidsgrove suffer a 3-0 defeat as Kidsgrove drop a place in the Northern Premier League West Division table.
Kidsgrove had a good early chance with Callum Lovatt floating the ball to John Johnston on the right wing and he fizzed a ball across the box but no Kidsgrove player could get a touch on the ball.
But not long after Prescot Cables took the lead after Sam O'Halleron pounced on some sloppy defending and slotted the ball past Ryan Brown to give Prescot the lead.
Kidsgroves best chance of the first half came just before half time when Anthony Malbon hit a beautiful half volley but it hit the crossbar.
With being only one goal behind at half time Kidsgrove were looking to bounce back second half and come out stronger. But things went the opposite way.
Just after the 60 minute mark, Lewis Bergin got sent off for Kidsgrove after bringing down the last man right on the edge of the box after making a mistake on the halfway line.
Despite being a man down, Kidsgrove were continuing to push for an equaliser but with 8 minutes to go O'Halleron doubled Prescot's lead and got his second of the match.
The game was done and dusted and Lewis Buckley put the exclamation mark on the match as he added a third for Prescot as he found space inside the box and cooly finished it past Brown.
With Kidsgrove now sitting 17th and being on a disappointing run they will be looking to turn things round Tuesday night as we welcome Rochester to the Autonet Insurance Stadium in the Staffordshire Senior Cup. 7:45pm Kick off.
