Here are five facts on our opponents Glossop North End ahead of this weekend's fixture,

1) To this day, Glossop is one of the smallest towns to have ever had a team in the Football League, and the smallest to have a team in the top flight.

2) During their successful period in the top flight, the club was bankrolled by Sir Samuel Hill-Wood who later went on to be the Chairman of Arsenal.

3) Glossop North End have had 6 permanent homes in their history. They've played at Pyegrove, Silk Street, Water Lane, Cemetery Road before settling at North Road until 1955. They then moved into their current home of Surrey Street.

4) In the same season they achieved their record attendance of 10,736 in the FA Cup against Preston, they finished bottom of the league and failed to be re-elected. (1913/14).

5) The reason the club are called 'The Hillmen' or 'The Peakites' is due to the fact they sit at the foothills of the Pennines.
